about
This was a song created for someone who contacted me on twitter out of the blue to say how they really liked my music.
"Caustic Snowdust, The Sad Story Of Astral Importance, and Game Over are my favorites. They are definitely different, but give off a nice nostalgic vibe."
With that in mind, and kickstarted out of the depression I was in, I created a song that flows from the soundfont of Kirby Super Star (like in The Sad Story of Astral Importance) to Megaman X (because it's 16 bit and I like it) to Earthbound (for similar reasons) to the Sega Genesis Soundfont (similarly to the stuff used in Caustic Snowdust) among other things, ending with some nice chiptune (like in Game Over).
The name was chosen from a combination of their screenname "d e s u" and their account name "pyloris" - similar to "pyro", like fire.
According to their twitter bio they're a /g/ user, which influenced my cover art choice. I chose that one Desu girl that shows up on 4chan a whole bunch as well as some memes in the background- because they also show up in user posts on 4chan.
The head of the girl is supposed to be overlapping the head of the person in the meme, but it's fairly transparent so it doesn't work all that well. Ah well.

Song created in FL Studio 12.
I used a whole heckuva lot of soundfonts in this song: Kirby Super Star, Megaman X, Earthbound, Mario Paint and Sega Genesis.

Brash experimental electronic compositions from this Tulsa-based musician heavy on serrated sheets of sound that hiss and scald. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 27, 2023
The origin behind this delightfully brutal glitch/noise record is wild: a program that plays any application as if it’s an audio file. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 10, 2022
